1948 Triumph 1800 Roadster

Originally bought by a gentleman in California who replaced the engine when it went bad in 1953 with a Ford flathead V8. This car came second in the Palm Springs Auto Concourse in 1951. It still has the flathead in it and is an attention getter wherever I park. Dickey seats (rumble seats) and a second pop up windshield were standard equipment.

Swallow Doretti

1955 Swallow Doretti

This is a California cutie that we are going to be doing a restoration on over the next year.  There were less than 300 Doretti's made, and if you are not familiar with the make, doing a Google search makes for interesting reading about this rare car.

Jensen Interceptor

1955 Jensen

This is a rare one. Jensen made 88 cars of this model over an eight year period. They made one with a Briggs Cunningham Chrysler hemi V8 for a special order. The engine was de-tuned to 275 h.p. for street use before being shipped from Palm Beach to the Jensen plant for installation. The car is in an unrestored original condition and is in lovely shape. Top speed was estimated by the factory at 140+ mph. There is a nice patina of age to the red leather and the hemi has that throaty burble sound that only a hemi can produce. A Laycock deNormanville overdrive was also fitted and the car is a screamer whether at stop lights or at the top end. One off cars don’t come up that often, and I’ve owned this one since 1987.

Jaguar XK140

1957 Jaguar XK140

This is a nice California Jag that we plan to redo. I still have not decided on a colour combination but we have been too busy to get to it yet.

Gordon Keeble

1965 Gordon Keeble

These cars are getting a little hard to find. Only 99 Gordon Keebles were produced. Styling was by Guigaro, thus the similarity between this car and the Ferrari 250GT, which he also designed. Power is provided by a 327 Corvette with the Corvette four speed behind it. Performance is quite brisk, and the car is capable of 100 MPH plus in each gear except first (it only goes 72 mph in first). Full leather interior, front and rear air conditioning, three brake boosters, and pin drive knock off mag wheels are also part of the package.

Lotus 7

1968 Lotus 7

This is my autocross or slalom car. It is a black badge Lotus 7 powered by a Mazda rotary with a four speed. This is a super fun car to drive with the Yokohama sticky tires and will give the boys with their rice rockets a good run at most events.

Morgan

1969 Morgan +8

I've owned this car since 1982 and haven't done much except drive and enjoy it.

Marcos

1969 Marcos

I purchased this car in a wrecked condition in the fall of 1994. The previous owner had the misfortune to roll the car at Westwood Raceway at a speed of about 130 mph. The car was almost totally destroyed with the roof, both doors, hood, and trunk completely broken off. The motor and tranny both broke off their mounts and were only held in the car by the driveshaft. That winter the car was completely repaired using all of the old fiberglass (without any new pieces). The car was first shown at the Rally In The Valley in 1995 where it won Best of Show. It is powered by a Volvo straight six with triple 45 Webers and has a four speed overdrive gearbox. I have driven the car over 10,000 miles since the restoration and use it regularly in club slaloms and other events.
